MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the Pasto Agricultural Museum is to provide the general public with an understanding and appreciation for early agriculture and rural life especially in Pennsylvania and the northeastern United States. Emphasis is to provide visibility for early technological developments in agriculture when energy for work was supplied by the power of humans and domesticated animals, before the advent of electricity and engines.

Goals:

1. Provide attractive and educational exhibits of agricultural technology development, household equipment, and methods.

2. Develop opportunities for the public to view and learn about early agriculture and rural living.

3. Expand the Pasto Agricultural Museum Endowment to a level that the earned income is adequate to support the operations and paid staff to manage museum activities.

4. Implement a marketing program to elevate the visibility and availability of the museum to a wide variety of publics.
